About Our Ministry & Beliefs at LCEM

As Christians, Episcopalians believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe God created us, redeems us, and never lets us go. We believe God is the source of all life. We believe that Jesus died to save us and to bring us into a new life with God. We know that God’s love is present in the world today and with us always. We believe in the church as the body of Christ, one that is holy, catholic (universal), and apostolic, continuing the teaching of Jesus through the apostles to this day. And... we believe that all baptized persons are called to share in the ministry of Jesus. Because we believe:

We Act. We worship. We have fun together. We reach out to our community. We care and reach out to each other. We learn, whether we're young or not-so-young. And we want you.

The Episcopal Church: Embracing Inclusivity

We are a Christian church that emphasizes sacraments, worship, and community service while encouraging thoughtful reflection on our role as followers of Christ. The Episcopal Church is known for its balanced approach, bridging Protestant and Roman Catholic traditions through worship in one's native language, the use of the Book of Common Prayer, and a method of interpreting the Bible that incorporates scripture, tradition, and reason.

Our church is committed to embodying Christ's message of inclusivity and hospitality, welcoming everyone without exception. Embracing diverse perspectives and opinions, we value respectful dialogue and communal living. Our willingness to acknowledge and discuss our differences has occasionally brought national attention to our church, as we believe in openly addressing and navigating our varying viewpoints.

Celebrate the Boundless Love of God at LCEM

At LCEM, we come together as a family to celebrate the boundless love of God, as revealed through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our shared practices of worship, prayer, and the sacraments further strengthen our unity. Central to our worship in the Episcopal tradition is the Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion, Mass, or the Lord's Supper. This sacred celebration binds us in faith and fellowship. Following our Sunday services, we cherish the time spent in coffee hour, an opportunity to connect and share life's moments with one another. We warmly welcome all baptized Christians to partake in communion, embracing the inclusive spirit of the Episcopal Church. For a deeper understanding of our worship and the significance of the Lord's Supper, click the button below or reach out to us for more information.
